AMS Decontaminates with Rinnai Lpg Gas Water Heaters

Air Management Systems (AMS), which manufactures mobile decontamination units for the asbestos and demolition industries, has fitted its decontamination units with Rinnai lpg continuous flow water heaters.

AMS’ decontamination units are purpose built to allow workers to shower and change clothes prior to taking meal breaks and leaving the site. The decontamination units have three separate rooms – a ‘dirty’ room for the safe disposal of contaminated clothing; a washing and showering room, and a ‘clean’ room with a negative air pressure environment and special air filtration. Wastewater from the showers is also multistage filtered to capture the asbestos fibres before being discharged to waste.

The washing and showering facilities are provided with hot water by Rinnai wall mounted lp gas water heaters that only heat the water when there is a demand, eliminating reheating and standing losses typically associated with storage systems and freeing up space in the decontamination unit.
