Cadillacs Receiving GFI injector

From 2008, TeleflexGFI’s SGI Type 3 system for Cadillac models will be fitted with a new GFI injector developed by the company. TeleflexGFI has been a regular supplier of lpg systems for Cadillacs in Europe since 2006, and manufactures conversion equipment for the CTS, SRX, STS and Escalade models.

Henri van Tienen of TeleflexGFI Europe said: "American cars, including Cadillacs, are becoming ever more popular in Europe, despite the fact that many of them are still fitted with a relatively large engine. As far as efficiency of fuel consumption and environmental factors are concerned, American cars are able to give their European counterparts a run for their money, thanks to the availability of an advanced lpg system.

“In the meantime, TeleflexGFI has gained a great deal of experience with the powerful Cadillac engines that are extremely well-suited to driving on lpg. This means that the unique character and driving pleasure associated with the powerful V6 and V8 engines are retained.”

TeleflexGFI has developed lpg systems for right-hand drive Cadillacs sold in the UK. Vehicles will be fitted by TeleflexGFI’s UK distributor, Nicholson Mclaren Engines Ltd, in accordance with the fitment instructions developed between Cadillac Europe and TeleflexGFI. The company has also completed full R115 type approval for the Cadillac vehicle range.
