BP Gas Website Moves Off Platform

 

BP Gas has launched its first lpg site to come off the global bp.com platform at www.bpgas.co.uk. BP worked with digital agency Equator to create a site that gains better UK search engine results. BP customers can also check the status of their lp gas delivery on the site.

Equator said that, within days of its launch, the site ranked within the top 10 for a number of its key search terms.

Martin Jordan, director of marketing at Equator, said: “Developing the new BP Gas site around a clear search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy has meant that we’ve been able to hit the ground running following its launch. From the initial planning stages right through to copywriting and design and build, maintaining this focus on producing a search engine friendly and customer focused site has produced immediate results in terms of rankings for key terms, such as ‘bottled gas’, which is fantastic.”

Steven Rowley, marketing manager at BP Gas, said: “We’ve been delighted with the approach Equator have taken to our project. Having a clear SEO strategy has helped us see positive results in the first week, much faster than we anticipated.”
