Clesse (UK) Ltd will launch a new single stage cylinder and second stage meter box lp gas regulator in early 2011.
Clesse says its popular BP2203 lpg gas vessel regulator, launched in 2010, provides the platform for the development of new lpg regulator variants for multiple lp gas cylinder applications and alternative meter box regulation. Clesse’s 37mb single stage lpg regulator now offers over pressure shut off protection where additional safety is required or more than two lp gas cylinders are connected.
Kaz Dziamarski, managing director at Clesse (UK) Ltd, said: “We see this as the first steps in the evolution of safety systems on single stage lpg cylinder regulators. This regulator combines the popular cylinder regulator 880BS (766P type) with our existing bulk tank OPSO.
“Safety critical applications, such as boats and hire leisure craft, and higher capacity commercial mobile catering applications requiring more than two lpg gas cylinders would be typical of the first applications to benefit from this regulator, giving ultimate protection to consumers and hire fleet owners.”
Currently, under gas safety regulation, only gas engineers are allowed to reset OPSO systems.
Kaz said: “We believe that this piece of legislation is now holding back the integration safety systems in the UK lp gas cylinder market. Given the correct instruction and labelling, lpg gas consumers should be allowed to do this, in much the same way as an electric trip switch on the fuse board at home.”
Clesse’s new second stage meter box regulator optimises the company’s BP2203 UPSO/OPSO lpg vessel regulator into a compact version suitable for meter box use. Kaz said: “Typically, what we see in the lp gas market are natural gas meter regulators adapted for lpg. However, the new 6829FC variant is an lpg gas regulator optimised for meter box and outdoor applications.”
Clesse’s FC regulator will allows the company to further develop its existing preassembled meter box range and is compatible with other manufacturers’ models. Kaz said: “We don’t just stop there for the coming year, we’ve many more new and improved products to roll out over the coming months. We wish all our customers and friends the very best for the season and 2011.”
