Contract Win for Flogas

Pet food manufacturer Gelert Pet Nutrition has chosen Flogas as its lp gas supplier. Flogas installed two new lpg gas systems at Gelert’s headquarters in Wales during a major factory expansion.

Mark Creamer, production manager (dry foods) at Gelert Pet Nutrition, said: “When we were looking to expand our operation, we realised that we needed to change our lpg supplier to accommodate the changes that our new system would bring. We decided to award the contract to the team at Flogas, as they were not only able to design, build and install three unique four tonne lpg tanks, which had been specifically designed for our business, but they also were also able to install five two tonne lp gas vessels as a temporary measure amidst the ice and snow of December. This allowed us to continue our own building work whilst maintaining production.”

Jonathan Davies, operations director at Gelert Pet Nutrition, added: “The installation was undoubtedly very demanding, both in terms of tight timelines and the very absolute necessity of not disrupting production, and on both counts we’re delighted to say that Flogas has delivered. We are delighted with the new system and the service we have received from Flogas. We have no doubt that the new lpg tanks will enable our operations to run more effectively and efficiently.”
