e-GAS Updates SLY Injection Lpg Autogas Conversion Kit

e-GAS has launched an update to its SLY injection lpg autogas conversion kit. e-GAS UK became the UK distributor for e-GAS eight years ago when the SLY injection kit was first launched.

Simon Hardy, managing director at e-GAS UK, based in Pwllheli, said: “We got involved with e-GAS because it’s probably the best Italian kit on the market. We’ve had many thousands of successful installations, and we’ve never been forced to remove a system from an lpg autogas converted vehicle, as any issues are always solvable. We can connect to the SLY system remotely, providing the laptop connected to the vehicle has internet access, so this can be done whilst driving.”

The new SLY EOBD update comes with a range of optional injectors, with a choice of e-GAS’ own single injectors, Matrix or budget alternatives.

Simon said: “The EOBD system employed by the e-GAS system uses many data streams from the petrol diagnostic socket and is not limited, unlike many other systems now emerging that only use some of the fuel trim data. The e-GAS SLY EOBD injection uses all the fuel trim and oxygen sensor data, both voltage and wide band sensors, so it can see the lambda value as calculated by the petrol ECU.”

e-GAS UK has also taken delivery of the RG10 desmodronic reducer. Simon said: “We have just had delivery of a modified version of our original reducer that is quite innovative. It’s gone through a major redesign and has been renamed RG10 desmodronic. It’s akin to the desmodronic valve opening and closing system utilised by other manufacturers, such as Ducati.

“We still employ a spring system within the reducer, but the main valve is also closed desmodronically by the main diagram. We still have two reducers in the range, but power output has been increased to 250kW or 340hp on one reducer.

“We also have our own individual gas injectors, again made exclusively by and for the e-GAS system. These come with a special manifold and can be tailored to fit a variety of different applications.

“The advantage of them is their speed, which is equivalent to the best and most expensive injectors on the market. The output has been increased to a maximum of 45kW per injector.” e-GAS has over 30 distributors across the country and is looking for more in certain areas of the UK.

Simon said: ” We have about 35 regular users of the e-GAS system geographically spread over the country. We have many more customers who use us for tanks, multivalves and other components since we are ultra competitive. We are always looking to expand our network, but we closely monitor areas so as not to cause over competition of our product.” e-GAS UK has a training facility for its distributors offering training in UKLPG’s Code of Practice 11 and free incentive training.
