Elaflex Acquires GasGuard Lpg Autogas Nozzle

Elaflex HIBY Tanktechnik GmbH & Co, based in Hamburg, Germany, has acquired a stake in lpg autogas nozzle manufacturer L G Equipment Pty Ltd (LGE), based in Sydney, Australia. LGE designs, manufactures and distributes the GasGuard lpg autogas nozzle for vehicle and industrial filling applications.

Philip Treloar, managing director of L G Equipment, said: “This deal is a perfect synergy. We are the market leader for lpg autogas nozzles in the Asia Pacific and other international regions. LGE’s customer base will benefit greatly from the additional high quality product lines offered by Elaflex.

“The extensive lp gas autogas nozzle, hose and breakaway coupling product programme, along with the imminent introduction of a new High Flow GasGuard nozzle, will extend the opportunities for the distribution network.”

Both LGE and Elaflex will maintain their current distribution structures. Stefan Kunter, managing director of Elaflex, said: “We are very pleased to have a new partner within our group in an effort to further expand our lpg gas product range. LGE’s well-earned reputation as a leading manufacturer of quality lpg autogas nozzles fits perfectly with the Elaflex philosophy.

“We have many complementing products, and therefore we will start to reciprocally market these. For example, we are interested in marketing special versions of the GasGuard nozzle range, while LGE might start to supplement their basket with our ARK 19 safety break and plasticiser free lpg 16 hose.

“There will be few changes, and those will be to the benefit of our customers. LGE will continue to design, produce and distribute lp gas nozzles at their present location, with unchanged staff and with Philip Treloar as LGE’s managing director.”
