Evesham Fast Tracking Apprentices

Russell Joseph has joined the Energy Training Centre at Evesham & Malvern Hills College as manager. He has over 31 years’ experience in the gas industry, having started his career with British Gas.

The centre provides lpg courses and Russell’s aim is to offer a one stop shop for energy training. He is keen to work with employers to highlight the benefits of taking on apprentices. He is currently developing a fast track route to gas qualifications, and so to CORGI registration. Trainees who obtain a Level 2 Domestic Heating technical certificate can then fast track into Domestic Heating NVQ 2, then the Intermediate Gas Certificate and ACS qualifications in two years rather than three to four years.
