Flogas Awards G4S Metering Contract

Flogas UK Ltd has awarded a national meter reading contract to metering and field services provider G4S Utility Services. The contract will cover approximately 6,900 lpg fuelled premises, and G4S’ metering representatives will undertake site meter lp gas inspections and installation safety checks in addition to carrying out regular data collection.

Jason Lynch, purchasing manager at Flogas, said: “When it comes to meter readings, accuracy is vitally important for Flogas and our customers. After initial tests with G4S, we were impressed with both their level of accuracy and the cost savings we could make by switching contractors. We look forward to working with them over the next twelve months.” Kim Challis, managing director of G4S Utility Services, said: “This is another example of how we are able to deliver metering services to customers using our nationally based field workforce to tight timescales and within challenging service levels. We look forward to working with Flogas and providing them with the accurate date they require to assist them in ensuring that their charges are correctly levied for their lpg customers.”
