Opet Aygaz BV, a joint venture between two of the largest energy companies
of the Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding, has sold its operation in Bulgaria
to fuel distributor Eco Bulgaria, part of Greek company Hellenic Petroleum.
Opet Aygaz Bulgaria EAD was established in 2003.
Aygaz is Turkey’s leading lpg supplier with a 30 per cent market
share, and the fourth largest in Europe. Opet is the fourth largest petrol
station chain in Turkey.
The deal will see Eco Bulgaria expand its retail network by 47 per cent.
