Leisuregrow Products Ltd has launched new barbecue ranges incorporating Grillstream, a new grilling technology that was seen on the BBC television show Dragon’s Den. A follow up show was filmed on the Leisuregrow stand at the SOLEX exhibition in July and will air in early 2011.
Leisuregrow’s 200, 300 and 600 series models all incorporate the Grillstream technology. Specially shaped double grills channel dripping fats generated during cooking away from the heat source, which allows the food to grill safely and more healthily whilst maintaining the barbecue taste. The Grillstream grills heat food to the optimum temperature for juices to turn into smoke, which then infuses the food with the barbecue flavour.
Lauren Woodgate at Leisuregrow said: “Leisuregrow barbecues, which incorporate Grillstream technology, are the first real innovation since the invention of the lp gas barbecue. This revolutionary technology ensures food is cooked in a more controlled way, so that food is succulent and maintains that authentic barbecue flavour. It also eliminates flare-ups, which are the cause of so many burnt sausages and chicken pieces.”
Leisuregrow says the Grillstream system is the first to completely eradicate flare-ups and fat fires as the cooking grease is channelled away into a catch system, and also has improved heat distribution plates that are more efficient and use 30 per cent less lpg. The Leisuregrow 2011 range also includes barbecue accessories and covers.
