LIMA is the New Lpg Autogas Conversion Kit on the Block

LIMA, an lpg autogas equipment manufacturer based in Southampton, has been distributing its systems in the UK since March and currently supplies to a number of other countries, including Belgium, Germany and Australia.

David King, founder of LIMA and co-owner of Prins Autogas UK, used his knowledge from being both an LPGA Approved Installer and an lpg autogas equipment distributor to source components and create a new system. David then granted the sole UK distribution rights for LIMA to Ashwoods, run by founder and technical director Lloyd Ash, an LPGA Approved Installer with many years’ experience and technical knowledge, and Mark Roberts and Martin Kadhim of Envy Motors in West London, a retailer of low carbon and congestion charge free vehicles, such as the Smart LPG.

“Most of the parts that constitute LIMA are sourced from a very well known and long established European system producer,” said Lloyd Ash. “Ashwoods is a low emissions specialist, having also developed a retrofit hybrid drive system for rear wheel drive transit vans. The development of this product has recently seen Ashwoods win a contract to supply vehicles to local government under the Low Carbon Vehicles Procurement Programme.”

Despite the current economic climate and LIMA being one of the newest systems on the market, Ashwoods says it has seen a steady increase in sales of the LIMA lpg autogas system over the past four months.

“This is due to the LIMA’s proven reliability, the level of quality and its versatility,” said Lloyd. “We now supply over 40 independent lpg autogas installers across the UK, with the number increasing weekly. Ashwoods has been an LPGA Approved Installer for a number of years and we are able to support our network of installers with technical assistance over the phone. We also have the facilities to train new installers at our site in Somerset.”
