The 23rd Annual World LP Gas Forum, to be held in Madrid, Spain, from September 28 to October 1, will combine four events in one location – the annual World LP Gas Forum, the 2010 AEGPL Congress, the 25th AIGLP Conference, and the third Global Technology Conference.
The AIGLP Congress, entitled LP Gas – Right Here, Right Now, will start the four-day programme at the Palacio de Congresos de Madrid on September 28. The World LP Gas Forum will be opened on September 29 by His Royal Highness the Prince of Asturias, who will be joined by the Mayor of Madrid Alberto Ruiz Gallardón, Repsol executive president Antonio Brufau, and Secretary of State for Climate Change Teresa Ribera.
The forum will report on developments following last year’s round table, when a group of lpg industry leaders provided their visions of the future of the industry and the key issues that needed to be addressed in order to maximise the industry’s potential.
On September 30, the AEGPL Congress, entitled LP Gas For A Sustainable Future, will provide an overview of the European energy model, and see the official launch of the Beyond The Grid roadmap. The programme of events will conclude on August 1 with the Global Technology Conference, which will look at lpg gas development in sub-Saharan Africa.
The accompanying exhibition will be twice the size of 2009’s event, and stand space has sold out. Exhibitors include Algas-SDI, Integrated Gas Technologies, RegO, Rochester Gauges, Sterling Fluid Systems and TouchStar Technologies.
Nicki Allitt, communications manager at the World LP Gas Association, said: “Dynamic speakers are lined up for the conferences to debate and discuss all the pertinent lpg topics, along with social events to enhance networking and interaction. Also, this is the only event worldwide where you can visit a host of key companies from every spectrum of the lpg gas business exhibiting under one roof.
“This year, we will showcase the largest exhibition we have ever had, as we combine the exhibitions normally associated with four separate events into one. Bringing all four events together has attracted unprecedented levels of interest.”
