ALGED Votes Yes
The Association of Liquid Gas & Equipment
Distributors (ALGED) has conducted a survey amongst its members
regarding the proposed amalgamation of the organisation with
the LP Gas Association (LPGA), resulting in a vote in favour
of proceeding with the merger.
“After years of negotiation between
the two associations, it’s
gratifying to reach the point where both parties have reached
an agreement as to the way forward,” said Steve Walmsley,
chairman of ALGED. “Having been drawn together by the influence
of the Competition Commission inquiry, this has created harmony
that previously hadn’t existed.”
Members of the LPGA
will vote on the matter at the association’s
annual conference and AGM in May.
