Burning Rubber
Elaflex Ltd, which produces lightweight, flexible
rubber lay-flat and reeling hoses for lpg tankers and dispensers,
was the sponsor of the lpg karting competition after the LPGA
AGM & Conference in May. The smell of burning rubber was
in the air as a large group of LPGA members hurled themselves
around the corners of the local Bournemouth go-kart track.
"The racing was fast, fun, furious and
hilarious. A jolly time was had by all,” said Anton Martiniussen,
managing director of Elaflex.
The fastest individual lap on the day was
set by Mike Chapman of the LPGA, who was awarded the Elaflex
Trophy. Mike
said: “I
got the fastest lap by just over a second and, whilst I haven't
raced karts, I do confess to being a rally driver, which no doubt
helped!”
Richard Smith of Elster Jeavons and James
Milner of Rectory Gas were awarded the Elaflex trophy for the
winning
team.
