Tankgas Celebrates 10th
Anniversary
Tankgas Equipment Ltd is celebrating its tenth
year in business. The company first started trading in July 1996,
but founders Paul Stevens and Martin Griggs already had longstanding
connections and involvement in the lpg industry.
In the 1970s,
both Paul and Martin worked for LP Gas Equipment, which was the
manufacturing licensor for RegO products in the
USA. Paul and Martin then moved on to other companies within
the lpg controls business.
By 1985, they had teamed up at Tankgas
Engineering, which dealt primarily with RegO products, but steadily
added other brands
to the range of products it stocked and distributed. When owner,
Brian Langstone, retired in 1996, Tankgas Equipment was born.
"Tankgas has continued to develop, with
the main emphasis always being on customer service,” said
Paul. “From our
extensive knowledge and understanding of the product ranges we
supply and the UK market, we have tailored our stock holding
to meet our customers’ needs. Receiving the coveted accolade
of being RegO’s European Master Distributor of the Year
for the second year running shows our continuing dedication to
serving the UK’s lpg industry, as we seek to build on the
success of the last 10 years.”

control equipment, including Smith Pumps, Full Circle Swivels,
GasGuard Nozzles, Liqua-Tech Flowmeters, Rochester Gauges and
Manchester Cylinders, ensure that Tankgas remains probably the
UK’s largest supplier of industrial equipment to the UK
market.

Our years of supplying all the leading companies involved in
the lpg industry in the UK have also helped tailor our stock
holding of the RegO product range to specifically suit the UK
market,” said Paul.
An association with LPG Refurb Ltd also
allows the company to offer a reconditioning service backed by
the manufacturers of
most of the equipment ranges it supplies, incorporating the use
of manufacturers’ replacement parts and regular training
by manufacturers to ensure only the latest methods and components
are used.
