UKLPG joined hundreds of well known exhibitors at this year’s British International Motor Show at the Excel Centre in London on July 23-August 3 to promote the use of autogas. Over 17,000 people visited the stand in one day and the response was positive said Lisa Thomson, UKLPG’s communications manager.
She said: “Being at the motor show is a great opportunity to raise public awareness about lpg autogas as a fuel. The climate to shout about lpg autogas has never been better due to the rising costs of petrol and diesel.”
UKLPG’s exhibition stand was custom built and featured the ‘greener, cleaner, cheaper’ message that is being used by the association in its promotion of autogas. UKLPG also created a logo for autogas for use at the show and intends to follow up on its successful use.
“We wanted to keep the stand clean and simple to reflect the product, therefore our stand has a forecourt theme to make it clear to the public as to what we are about, and the new logo is designed to complement this,” said Lisa.
Association members also attended the show, including Autogas Ltd, Calor Gas, Countrywide, Gastech, Millbrook, Nicholson McLaren Engines and Prins Alternatech.
Chris Taylor, marketing manager at Autogas Ltd, said: “The pence per litre difference for lpg autogas has never been greater, and being at the Motor Show provides a great environment to get our message across to the public.”
