Revised UKLPG Codes of Practice Issued

UKLPG has revised a number of its Codes of Practice to align them with key changes to the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) and the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009. The revised publications include Codes of Practice 2, 27 and 29.

  • Code of Practice 2: Safe Handling and Transport of Lpg in Road Tankers and Tank Containers by Road has been revised to reflect ADR 2009, as well as other updates, particularly with regard to Instructions in Writing.
  • Code of Practice 27: The Carriage of Lpg Cylinders by Road has been similarly updated and also includes details of tunnel transits, which will become relevant on January 1 2010.
  • Code of Practice 29: Hazard Information and Packaging Labelling for Commercial Lpg Cylinders has been rewritten to reflect the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009, the EU REACH Regulation, the EU CLP Regulation and the UN Globally Harmonised System, all of which are now part of UK law.

All of UKLPG’s Codes of Practice are available to purchase via the association’s online store at www.uklpg.org
