Seaforth Heating & Cooling Services based in Dorset has developed a treatment for lp gas central heating systems that aims to increase longevity.
The HydroAction Heating System Protector & Restorer protects lpg heating systems against corrosion and limescale build up, reducing noise. It also protects against sludge and silt build up, maintaining flow rates, and the growth of algae, moulds and bacteria in the system. It can protect against freezing up to –20ºC, and provide lubrication for pumps and valves to reduce wear and tear. It also neutralises flux residues left in the system from installation and protects against the build up of gases, which can cause boiler ‘bumping’.
David Light, contracts manager at Seaforth, said: “One of the most important after sales services is ensuring that the customer has an lpg gas heating system that provides heat when and where it is required. We found that systems often required several different products to overcome problems. What our engineers and customers wanted was a single product that would cover everything.
“The brief to HydroAction, our water treatment division, was clear and simple but very demanding. We wanted a product that contained everything an lpg heating system could possibly need in one bottle and we wanted it super concentrated so we didn’t have to stock and transport huge quantities. Not to mention the environmental impact of all those empty plastic bottles going into landfill sites!
“The Heating System Protector & Restorer is suitable for simple to very large installations and a one per cent solution will keep the system clean and healthy. We have used more environmentally friendly chemicals and plan to launch a range of products with the same focus.”
The HydroAction Heating System Protector & Restorer is available in 1 litre, 5 litre and 25 litre containers.
