Shell Gas Renews Wincanton Distribution Contract

Supply chain solutions provider Wincanton has secured a £13 million two-year renewal of its UK bulk tanker distribution of lpg gas and aerosol propellants for Shell Gas. Shell’s bulk tanker fleet predominantly loads from terminals at Stanlow in Cheshire and Mossmorran in Fife and has a nationwide distribution network managed from eight strategic operating centres.

Shell Gas managing director Phil Turley said: “The signing of the contract extension between Shell Gas and Wincanton is testament to what we have already achieved together in health and safety – value generation and cost effective growth. These achievements are only possible through teamwork, determination and professional excellence at all levels of both organisations, and I am looking forward to continuing this partnership over the coming years.”

Chris Kingshott, managing director for manufacturing at Wincanton added: “We work very closely with our customers to ensure they experience a seamless service, and we’re delighted to be continuing with the contract for Shell Gas.”
