OutdoorChef has added three new City Grill models to its range of lp gas barbecues.
Ioanna Vrettou at OutdoorChef said: “Due to the difficult economic climate, consumers seem to have taken a fancy to good quality lpg barbecues that combine convenience and mobility. OutdoorChef’s City Grill is a stylish and portable lp gas grill that has gained popularity among barbecue lovers as it offers all the benefits of a larger barbecue grill.”
OutdoorChef lpg gas barbecues feature a burner protected by a porcelain enamelled funnel system to stop flare up. The two-part funnel system is multi positional, allowing for both direct and indirect cooking.
Ioanna said: “The two-part funnel system means that consumers can have more control over the way they cook, ranging from a slow cooking or baking experience to a quick meal. The funnel also protects the burner from dripping fat and meat juices and guides any liquid into the drip pan below, providing the ultimate in healthy cooking.
“The key to its cooking capabilities lies in the patented funnel inside the kettle, which can be placed in the ‘volcano’ position to use for grilling directly at very high temperatures, or turned the other way to cook or roast food indirectly and evenly, similar to cooking in an oven – with the lid on, you don’t even need to keep turning your food! This means that consumers can have more control over the way they cook – everything from sausages to a gourmet meal.
“The funnel also makes cleaning easier, as it directs all the excess fat and juices outside the barbecue and into a collector located below the bowl. Simply brush away any leftovers from the funnels. Any deposits then fall into the collecting pan below for easy disposal.” OutdoorChef is owned by the Swiss company DKB Group.
Ioanna said: “OutdoorChef’s head office is located in Zurich. All product design and innovation is fine-tuned there using the very latest computer aided design. The Swiss are renowned for perfection and OutdoorChef products are no exception.
“A small team of product developers, designers and marketing specialists is responsible for international support, with a dedicated UK team supporting UK retailers. OutdoorChef has its own representatives in Switzerland, the UK, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and France, and uses distributors in other parts of Europe, Australia and the USA.
“OutdoorChef also has trained demonstrators that support our sales outlets. The demonstrators help explain our products to customers and make sales, as well as preparing small snacks on the barbecue.”
