RegO’s new 7580F-20 liquid evacuation adapter for lpg vessel chek-lok valves is now available from the company’s UK distributor Tankgas Equipment Ltd.
Martin Griggs at Tankgas said: “The new liquid evacuation adapter complements nicely the range of RegO products for use on domestic lp gas vessels. It makes evacuating liquid through this type of chek-lok or drain valve much safer. The new design eliminates the need for any product leakage when the adapter is installed or removed from the chek-lok valve.” Once installed onto the chek-lok valve, the operating lever depresses a plunger that opens the chek-lok. When the operation is complete, the lever is used to close the chek-lok valve prior to the adapter being removed.
A built in bleed valve also allows for any trapped liquid to be discharged. The new adapter is supplied with a built in nylon gasket to ensure a gas tight seal.
Martin said: “The new evacuation adapter is designed specifically for use with RegO 7572FC and 7580FC chek-lok excess flow valves. The adapter’s operating handle opens and closes the equalising stem in these older style chek-lok valves.
“This adapter is designed to eliminate the need for lp gas flow from the chek-lok when the adapter is installed or removed. A shutoff valve, such as a full port ball valve, must be installed at the outlet of the 7580F-20 adapter.
“Tankgas can offer complete sets of valves for new or 20 year tests on lpg gas vessels, including the Euro design PRV assemblies, vapour service valves, manual isolation fill valves, Rochester float gauges, chek-loks and liquid off take valves.”
