BP Announces Fitter Fleet

BP LPG UK Ltd has announced that, in order to improve its logistics operations, it has made a significant investment in its tanker fleet. The company has taken delivery of the first of 13 new primary trailers which, through increased payload capacity, will reduce its CO2 emissions by 16 per cent and kilometres travelled by over 300,000km per year.

It has also ordered eight new secondary rigid tankers with a maximised payload. The vehicles include a range of safety features, including spray suppression, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and quieter, more efficient pumps.

Commenting on the changes, Jeremy Hull, supply and logistics manager at BP, said: “BP is committed to investing in a safer, fitter fleet that will benefit both our own people and our customers. These changes will ensure that we are ready, not only for the usual winter challenges, but for the medium and longer term as well.”
